Session 41: Cleanup Crew Report

General Summary

The party did take some time to search the cave, but all they found left was a cage full of captive, uncorrupted chihuahuas. They released them into the wilderness, and made their way back to town. They come back to the town in the throes of a plague of all things, and decide to investigate after a nights rest. And from here, things move fast. It turns out the Zhentarim had been influencing the town towards ruin this whole time, and they overstepped their boundaries this time. Once the party finally figured out the identity of the leader, the butler of Anders Solmor, The leader decided to take the nuclear option and held his own master hostage. The party was forced to walk into a trap, but they were able to tell the guards of secret tunnels they could take to ambush the leader. It was a gruesome fight, and while some guards fell in the line of duty the party succeeded. The Zhentarim in Saltrings was beheaded.
