Session 42: Sins crawling on your back Report

General Summary

After the party settled the payment to the worker and settled on plans, they decide to investigate a rumor of their rivals "The Crescent Sun" visiting town. They find them at the Wicker Goat, and their leader gives a simple demand: to meet them in combat outside of town. Apparently, beyond still wanting Droop they now believe Reza needs to be dealt with. The party is hesitant to walk into an obvious trap, but they don't realized that by doing so they walked into an even more harrowing one. The Crescent Sun's leader, Zigmund, reveals that Reza has been backstabbing the party the whole time and even allows him self to be tested by a zone of truth to prove this. The trap has been sprung: the party reels back in horror as their comradery is shattered. They travel back home, but Reza finds he has few friends in the group. He convinces them to at least get help from the local wizard as to why they were spied upon so thoroughly before they abandon him to certain death. Keledek reveals that all of the magic items they purchased from Captain Xendros was cursed with detect thoughts, allowing unlimited invasion of their inner thoughts while they possessed the items. The party (except Reza) confront her about this, but she (obviously) knew their intentions. The room was filled with some sort of sleeping gas and the party was captured.
