Session 5b: Let's do that again, from the top Report

General Summary

The adventurers, their bodies battered and their egos bruised, rested for the night seemingly forced to do the necromancer's bidding in the morning. They wake up, and as they leave the inn the keeper notifies them of a letter that came in. Turns out Daran Edermath got word of their return and wishes to talk to them. But firstly, they needed to get some info from Sister Garaele. Interrupting the preparation of a Three Kings day feast, Catalina was able to talk to the nun in private. Surprisingly, the nun knew what she wanted, and actually had a request: Get the location of a book of a powerful spellcaster from the banshee.   After a bit of question and some weird reactions at the end of the conversation, The party reunited as Erland Son of Olaf was finalizing purchases at Barthan's Provisions. From there, they went to visit Daran, and notice he's not outside. After investigation, they found his body in the living room covered in red... Living body actually, as he was simply playing a Three King's Day prank that the party cleverly saw through using a steel mirror and his breath. From there, he was quick to business: Much like the redbrands, he can't directly help because necromancy is actually legal in the English Kingdom. However, he knows of a group of vigilantes, The Order of the Gauntlet, that will probably help them. The party, now embolden with options, begins their journey to the west.   The journey was much more peaceful than the last, with only a slight concern when a practicing apprentice accidentally inflicted his wild magic on the party. In fact, the party managed to find a proper shelter in the form of a cabin and earned the gratitude of a dying caravan guard that was willing to travel with them as payment. They arrive at their first destination: The HQ of the OotG. After a meeting with the captain, Angela, they agree to hire one of their knights to help them take down the necromancer. With some daylight still eft in the day, they even manage to convince the banshee, Agatha, to get the information the nun requested now that they had an ace up their sleeve against the necromancer.   After a nights rest indirectly protected by the order, they finished up their dealings here and searched for Wyvern Tor. They stealthily killed the sentry orc and then attempted to charm one of the orcs. To their surprise, the sympathetic orc was quickly dispatched by his comrades, but they did not get to contemplate this for long when Reza Altscry tripped on a rock. The ensuing fight was intense, Fluffy took some hard blows, the orcs nearly broke through the party line but party prevailed. With the bodies strewn in front of them, what can really stop them at this point?
