This item for me, is an example of a player spending time, money and hours of adventuring to upgrade an item that is close to them. Out of our 3 1/2 years of playing, her character had this for close to two years. Even after she had options at some other points, she kept her item and upgraded it.

Total AC: 16 + Dex (max 2) Adamantine: You cannot be crit while wearing it. Deathguard Enchantment: 1/day, when you hit 0 hit points, the armor immediately restores you to 1 hit point. Originally bought by Illiana Theabrook, later enchanted by Raine with Death Ward and then further enhanced by Lycea Amoris to strengthen it. Significance
This Breastplate is one of the recognizable items of Illiana Theabrook. Blacksmiths and especially dwarves recognize the work and the amount of time that was put into the crafting of it.

Originally a gold setting with two enchanted diamonds were set into the armor by Raine.
At a later time Lycea of Aurora Morealis, used sapphire gem dragon blood and gem dust to strengthen the armor and its enchantment.
