Lakein

Chieftan of the Pale Orcs

Lakein, a half orc who has lived many lives. He was originally an orphan after his original tribe was killed, when he was 6 years old. He was was taken in by the Temple of Rahs and trained as a monk for the early years in his life. While he was at the temple, he grew up alongside Rehati and they became good friends. Rehati even learned what little orcish Lakein knew, so that she could converse with him more.   As he began to get older he felt an inner rage building within him during his time at the temple. Eventually after a falling out with his master, Lakein left the temple entirely and traveled back into the Northlands to rediscover himself. He had always felt guilty about leaving his friend Rehati at the temple.   During his days of traveling he had to outrun the Blod Nasra, had a confrontation with the Rautos Clan and was nearly killed by a young white dragon. After his encounter with the white dragon, he was on death's door, waiting for the cold embrace of the northern winds to welcome him into the next life. Yet, fate would not have Lakein end there. He was found and taken in yet again, and this time by orcs that closely resembled him. After his whole life and all this time searching, he had found his clan he thought destroyed. The Pale Orcs.    He learned that the Pale Orcs after years of being in the Northlands cold temperatures and marriages to Goliath clan members, that they shared a blood bond with the Goliath clans of the North. Lakein found from a distance, some of the orcs even looked indistinguishable from some of the goliath clans in the north. After he recovered, they accepted him back into the clan with open arms and was even given mementos some of the clan members had of his parents. At last he had found his home and felt that he had a place to belong.
