Session 30: The Disappearance of the Sword Dancer and the Invitation Report

General Summary

The group arrives in Tarynhall upon their flyong city. As they arrive they are greeted by Gallen of Arma Lucis. He passes through the flying city's defensive shields and greets the party, much to their suprise.
He informs them that Ein asked him to look into the flying city 'issue'. The party regroups at Arma Lucis Guild Hall. They explain the disappearance of Armin to Ein and Gallen. The two suggest that the party research magical solutions at the local library. As the party is researching, they come across a book that refers to possible dark domains that marked or cursed people can be dragged to.
With this in mind, Gallen gathers information on Armin from the party amd tries to contact the bard using his powers to contact this other plane Armin might be residing. Gallen suffers a slight migraine while doing do and after he casts the spell, a pale, gaunt man dressed as a butler appears before them in the library. He offers them an invitation to his lord's domain. The party asks this mysterious figure if he knows where Armin is, to which he replies 'If you seek your friend, meet outside the city tonight, when the veil is lowest.' After he delivers this message, he disappears into a mist that dissipates immediatlely.
Dead set on not losing another party member, the group gathers their things and waots outside Tarynhall near the forest. When the moon is full, the butler appears once more and states 'for a veil to open, a sacrifice in blood must be made'. Mists rise up around the Butler that engulf the area as werewolves of all sizes appear jump out of. The party fights the werewolves and blood is spilled by both sides. Both Xin and Lydia are bitten and infected by the werewolves during the encounter. As Gallen is helping during the fight, his wild magic summons a Unicorn on accident. The mists swallow up the werewolf corpses and stay still for a moment. The unicorn surprised at what has transpired, asks 'Who are you, how in the devil did-' and is cut off by the mists lurching forward and pulling him in. The rest of the party minus Gallen are consumed quickly by the mists and awake in another world...
