Serval is the undead guardian of Aetherfelle, cursed with the inability to die with no memories of their time while alive, not even their gender. They long for the release of death, but they are tasked by Archdruid Lucan Willowrest to rule the lands around the Aether wellspring.
Their compassion towards the living and the dead has earned them the respect and admiration of many in the forest. Serval has taken on the role of caretaker, nurturing injured and orphaned animals back to health and providing them with shelter and protection.
Rather than shunning undead or treating them as monsters, Serval sees them as lost souls who need guidance. They gently encourage undead to let go of their earthly attachments and move on to the afterlife, offering comfort and reassurance along the way.
