Deval de Navarate

Deval de Navarate is the chief diplomat and representative of Sentinel Fortress to the outside world.
He spends most of his time in Fultar's  capital city Fulton, and despite claiming to hate every minute of it, it well known that he prefers the milder climate of the capital city. He is one of the few Katheroi who can openly live in the capital, and suffers great ridicule by the Fultonians. However, he was born a lesser member of the Fultonian Nobility in the Barony of Atlan, and exercises the skills of the court to the best use for Sentinel Fortress. His humble nature and refusal to take offense has earned him the grudging respect of many in the Imperial court. He views himself as the heir of the tradition of Lady Mazelina, Marchioness of the Reaches and Lady of Sentinel Fortress, who lived in Fulton to gain aid and support for her husband Lord Alden Ilios, Marquess of the Reaches and Lord of Sentinel Fortress in his war against the orcs in the Bloodspear Orc Invasion.
Deval is a great scholar and middling mage with lesser skills than Jeanne Tour and Shubi Danso. When in Fulton, he spends as much time as he can spare from courtly diplomacy in the great Imperial Library of the Muses. He was educated at the University of Atlan and spent some time as University Student/Professor. If had not converted to the Katheroi faith, he likely would have spent all of his life in libraries or Universities. He is one of the few people who have been provided access to the great Lore Spire at Hammerfast. The Lore Spire is also a great center of learning, and a place where dwarves to study history, philosophy, mathematics, engineering, and other subjects. Unlike the library that is open to the any citizen of Hammerfast and accessible to foreign scholars, the Lore Spire’s library is closely guarded. Enrollment as a student requires noble blood, large contributions, or references from the high and mighty. Rumors persist of dark tomes of blasphemous knowledge.

General Physical Condition

He is a tall, square faced man with a great mullet.  Despite being inside most of the time, he has dark olive skin like some of the people of his native Barony of Atlan.
