Uzoma
Tempest Uzoma
Still at large, Uzoma is incredibly dangerous due to his part as an experimental soldier of the empire. These experiments have made him exceptionally strong, as they granted him supernatural magical abilities at the cost of machinery being connected to his heart and nervous system. Often seen near a young man known as Aethra, another of the same experimental batch of soldiers who deserted the empire’s ranks; The two travel the land with two other individuals as part of a group known as Ragnarök. This terrorist group, though incredibly small, is made up of capable fighters with a vendetta against the empire. They must be eliminated before any significant damage is done to the empire and its structures.

Uzoma
This target of interest grew up under the flag of the empire, grew as it is soldier and was chosen during his young adult years as one of the candidates for a military experiment. Even though he had no say in participating in it, his unfaltering trust in his governing power led him to agree in order to serve his country regardless. This secret project involved recreating the power found in an innate Dragonmark so that they could build an army of soldiers with a greater edge in combat. To the same
ends, they trained these soldiers to wield strange artefacts that could grant them supernatural strengths, and abilities, even granting them access into the elusive power that was magic. Uzoma was not the first to participate in these experiments as he befriended a young man known as Aethra later in his years. Young Aethra was chosen at an incredibly young age to bear the Mark of the Sentinel and can be often found traveling with the target. Though Uzoma had then been recognized as a capable fighter and ranked as Captain for a great deal of years prior, he became fond of the empathetic young man that was Aethra, wielder of the artefact “Biting Frost”. Uzoma helped Aethra onto his figurative feet after the young man had been inducted into the army through a successful experiment. Each of the soldiers that were a successful part of this project had been granted a codename, in essence a branding for whatever artefact they were to be tested to wield. Succeeding in becoming the wielder of the artefact known as “Oathseal” soon after his Dragonmark had been granted to him, Uzoma’s combat prowess skyrocketed. Soon he transcended his label and was given the codename “Tempest”. It was as Tempest that he was introduced to Aethra, then known under the codename “Elysium”. The two worked well together, due to their close relationship in and out of active duty, the two became a well-known duo within the ranks of the empire’s army.
A few years of service afterward, Aethra began to pose certain dangers to the fundamental ideals of the empire. His empathetic heart and kind outlook caused unnecessary complications during missions that would fall onto both Uzoma and whoever their active platoon was at the time. It is difficult to place what exactly prompted the order, but once his actions began to cause issues in the eyes of their higher ups, certain measures were taken. The two were sent out on a special reconnaissance that was painted to be incredibly important. Though immediately oddities began to pop up, as they were sent with a platoon half the size of the usual recon, and supplies seemed to last just under the amount needed to complete the mission not to mention the trip back. Tempest and Elysium were both quite suspicious of the circumstance, but the two trusted in the empire who both raised and created them. Nothing seemed to occur for days on end, their supplies were being whittled down quickly. Unsure of how many days they could live out there, and often searching for natural resources such as the local flora and edible fauna, they were able tobalance out their lacking supplies. Though that quickly did not show to be their largest concern as members of their platoon would begin to vanish. They wouldn’t turn up dead, or show themselves in anyway again, as if they’d walked off on their own. Uzoma would keep track of these soldier’s names in order to report them as deserters. Once their numbers had shown a good deal of wear, an even larger obstacle showed it’s face in the form a band of Mercenaries led by a woman named Tomoe. She carried a contract, much like you, on the head of both the Tempest and Elysium. She seemed to have uncovered a truth unbeneficial to her contractor however in the form of the former’s identity. Once face to face with the two soldiers, she faltered, instead warning telling them that the empire intended to get rid of them. The two believed her not, though Uzoma seemed more steadfast in his stance, that is until the Mercenary revealed her bounty on the two’s heads, and her employer to be an important figure of the empire itself. Shocked by the revelation, Aethra opted to lay down arms against Tomoe, who seemed against the concept of doing battle to begin with, regardless of the pay. Uzoma, betrayed and furious made a vow. He vowed revenge against the empire. This curse to the very members that run the twisted governing power resonated with his artefact, Oathseal, who granted him the power to bring even an empire to it’s knees given time.
Unwilling to part with Aethra, as well as through some insisting from the young man, Uzoma joined Tomoe and Aethra as band of Mercenaries. Though deserting the empire posed more issues than the two had predicted. A few months of travel and work later, Uzoma and later Aethra as well, began to show issues. Beginning with a form of fatigue and followed with a sense of numbness, the two began to feel the effects of not receiving their monthly tune up as part of the empire. The
reason for this was in the very nature of the experiment that granted each
their Dragonmark. Due to the process chosen to imbue a body with this innate
ability known as a Dragonmark, these forms of super soldiers would need to receive monthly or bi-monthly check ups and tune-ups to the machinery that holds the stability between their born flesh and their enhanced abilities. It is this process that became a greater issue given time, as they began to feel sluggish and were posed with greater trouble completing what were once simpler tasks. Concerned for her ally’s health, Tomoe led a search for aid that could be provided to the two ex-soldiers. It was through this, that she learned of an ex-doctor to the empire, a Dragonborn individual known as Erthyn Nemmonis. It was he, Erthyn, that could help fix up her wounded allies. He seemed inclined to aid in both in their recovery, but not without his own interest, which came to light during their period of recovery. His proposal was to aid in taking down the empire, as he held a distaste that resonated with Uzoma. United by this cause, Uzoma travels with these 3 others most often as a Mercenary group known as “Ragnarök”.
