Forged
Forged is the common name for sapient constructs created all over Ulthomel, typically for military purpose- but not always.
Description
Forged are constructs animated by arcane magic, used primarily as frontline combatants of major militaries. They are typically made out of metal or stone, but some were made of wood- simply due to materials at hand or for different purpose the construct needs to fulfill. These mechanical warriors, however, were granted a small spark of free will, setting them apart from other more common military constructs. Some artificers will tell you this is simply because of the very nature of the arcane magic they are imbued with- Others will say this is because a truly great warrior can't simply be programmed as rigidly as a Brass Spider. While both of these answers may be true, this small amount of independence is enough for some Forged to rise above and beyond their purpose- Becoming respected generals, powerful archmagi, or even aspiring heroes.
Their appearance varies greatly from region to region, as well as based on what the Forged was created to do. These appearances are typically utilitarian by design, however there are some reasons that a Forged may have unique appearances. Many regions have created Forged with appearances reminiscent of the fiends that typically plague that area- The most notable of which being the terracotta army briefly used by Northern Shura created with the appearance of Oni to appear more threatening to invading forces.
Sometimes, however, Forged will alter their own form. After fulfilling their purpose most Forged will remain a part of the standing army the served for- but some will leave to live new lives. Whatever path they choose, typically they will find themselves surrounded by dozens, or even hundreds of other Forged who look nearly identical to themselves, and countless others who look wholly unique. These Forged will go out of their way to alter their appearance- almost in an attempt to portray that they are more than a cog in a machine.
Languages: You can speak Common. Forged typically aren't created to learn more than one language unless there's a good reason- as teaching it one at all is more than most arcane constructs are capable of.
Forged Resilience: You were created to have remarkable fortitude, represented by the following benefits
Sentry's Rest: When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.
Integrated Protection: Your body is made of sterner stuff, gaining a +1 bonus to your AC.
Specialized Design: You gain one skill proficiency or one tool proficiency of your choice.
In addition to these features, you pick one Sub-Ancestry of your choice.
Swift: Your walking speed is increased by 5 feet.
Light Step: When you are traveling alone for an extended period of time (one hour or more), you can move stealthily at a normal pace.
Juggernaut - You were built tough and imposing, perfect for battle.
Brave: You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Powerful Build: You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Calculated- You were built for more precise tasks, perhaps as a commander, an engineer, or an archivist.
Calculating Mind: You are proficient in one of the following skills of your choice: Arcana, History, Investigation, Medicine, or Nature.
Languages: You can speak an additional language.

- You are immune to disease.
- You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
- You don't need to sleep and don't suffer the effects of exhaustion due to lack of rest, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
- Healing spells such as Cure Wounds and Healing Word restore half health to you. However, the cantrip Mending can heal you if cast using spell slots, as if casting Cure Wounds at that level.
