Oglala

The group who owns the town is actually a nomadic one, less than half the total population even stays there while the rest leave for constant hunts, message sending, or gathering supplies.   Oglala is settled amongst a great plain, which serves as constant great inspiration and influence on what the people built and used. They traveled on foot, as it wouldn't disturb their hunt like vehicles and animals would, though they did use animals for transportation when traveling for help and trade. The buildings are made from three things, the hide of the local game, wood from local trees, and a type of grass twine which surrounds the settlement and covers the land far as one can see.   Farming on the plains included easy staple foods such as grains, flowers, and other various types of food that can be prepared and used in a number of ways. The people, while cautious upon the initial contact with outsiders, are friendly and open to teaching and learning. Oglala is the most central settlement for the people, though there are smaller and less impressive 'ghost towns' scattered about the region, these were made by the people when their migration took on a more noticeable pattern of resting points.
Lakota for 'to scatter one's own', Oglala is a common placename in the real-world and is a place I frequently see every year while I visit my family in my hometown in the summer.   Obviously based on and inspired by the Lakota peoples, this place will take longer to develop in order to avoid complications and negative impressions.
