(Rhode's) Blessing

Basic Information

Anatomy

Blessing is a microgreen plant, meaning that while it can grow to be huge in its fully mature state, it is often pruned and consumed while it is still small and young. Like all microgreens, everything about the anatomy of Blessing is on a small scale, with longer stems, shorter roots, and small round leaves.

Genetics and Reproduction

When fully matured, Blessing will develop flowers and extra roots which can only be used for reproduction and nothing else. Manual pollination is required with domesticated species, it takes a week to two weeks for new plants to sprout.

Ecology and Habitats

Blessing thrives in warm and humid environments, they wither and die in extremely cold and dry climates. They will rapidly spread and grow when in a thriving area if not contained, serves as a perfect nest in the wild for small insects and animals.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Blessing photosynthesizes like any good-natured flora, it also feeds off of natural fertilizers like manure and food scrappings. The species also stores excess energy in its roots for future/emergency use.

Author's Notes

[Fun fact, Rhode's Blessing is what Colossus would've used when she was still human, and Colossus connects to Rhodes via the Colossus of Rhodes. Strangely enough, my last name is Rhodes so there's no doubt in my mind that my family and friends will think I based this off myself or something, which is far from something I'd ever actually do, as I don't like to hint at myself in my writing and designs.] This will also have to be a short entry for the time being, as I would like to focus more time on completing other prompts for Summer Camp 2018.
