Barovian Court

The Barovian Court is the judicial and penal system of Inquis. Any disputes that cannot be handled privately will be taken in front of the court. All involved are given the opportunity to prove their case, calling witnesses providing evidence etc. Lawyers are recommended for those involved but are not required. 
The Court consists of 12 members, 5 of which are appointed by the Countess, the rest voted in by Inquis residents. Most residents prefer to settle disputes amongst themselves, knowing the Court to be incredibly harsh.
