"The People"

"The People" are a race of elves who live in the northern mountain city of Falskaar. The elves have been known to inhabit this land since before the time of the Dragon War, when they began building their city. They call themselves "the People," but they're not actually human. They have pale white skin, silver or golden hair, and pointed ears. Many of them can cast spells, while others can only use magic to heal people or animals. They are feared by other races because of their great magical powers, which makes them respected and revered throughout the world.   The elves' greatest enemy is the dragon called Vkandis. He has always hated the elves because he believes they stole his powers and turned them against him. In the past, the elves had no choice but to live in fear of the dragon and hide from him. But now, thanks to the help of the dwarves, the elves have learned how to fight back. They've created an army of soldiers and mages, and they plan to drive Vkandis out of their homeland once and for all.   The elves believe that Vkandis will return someday, so they must be ready to defend themselves at any moment. When the dragons attack, they don't want to die without a fight. They'd rather face death than surrender to the dragons. This is why the elves are willing to sacrifice anything—even their own lives—to defeat the dragons.
The people of Falskaar worship a god named Al'Akir. He is depicted as a tall man wearing a long robe and carrying a staff. His symbol is a circle with a cross through it. The priests of Al'Akir wear robes like those worn by the people of Falskaar, but their clothing is colored red instead of green.   Al'Akir is a god of justice, and he punishes evil deeds. He is also said to be able to grant wishes if the person seeking the wish is pure of heart.
