Fairy Ring

The Fairy Ring is a circle of mushrooms growing in the forest near Arliden. It appears every full moon. Locals say that the mushrooms glow brightly at night. They say that the mushrooms emit strange sounds, like music. Sometimes, they even float through the air.
It's said that the mushrooms used to grow in a different location, but then something caused them to move. Nobody knows exactly what happened. But the mushrooms appeared in their current location soon afterwards.
Locals claim that the mushrooms are magical. They say that they absorb the energy of the fairies that live inside them. Fairies are tiny creatures that live in the woods. They're known for their mischief and trickery.
Fairies are extremely rare. They usually stay hidden away in the deepest parts of the forest. People rarely see them. But now and again, a fairy will appear in the middle of town. They'll fly around the streets, playing pranks on people. They'll make them dance until they fall down exhausted. They'll play tricks on children. They'll steal things from houses.
Not much is known about the Fairy Ring but the people of Arliden speculate that it's connected to the fairies. They say that the mushrooms absorb the energy of the fairies and channel it back into the world.
It is said the mushrooms can also be used to communicate with the fairies. Anyone can talk to the fairies if they eat a mushroom. Those who do become telepathic. They can hear the thoughts of others.
