The Dry Cold
The Dry Cold is a bone-chilling wind that the Hetu Kɑnabe believe brings Khitse Sturakticesū. The regions that are affected by it are the Sorrowsand Dunes and other such places that are super cold. Some even believe that the wind slows time and brings people to The Dream even while awake.
These Dream Zones are rare and are dangerous to travel through during the storm and it is believed in folklore that those who stay in these zones and travel with the storm can be immortal just like the Dā Е̄tyū Kacī gods at the price of never leaving the storm and dying with the storm.
Some locals believe that some enemies of the gods dare to try to control the storm or at the very least manipulate it. The use of the storm's strong connection to The Dream to steal moments and memories by freezing them in time and having them join the haunting echoes that cross the storm. Those who engage in this illegal behavior gain increased speed or knowledge which is coveted but feared because it brings the Guprudvā Vedvu to them.
There are towns, buildings, and monuments that have been swept by the wind altering the structures so they appear to to be made out of see-through crystals instead of the materials that they were made of. These are eerie displays and a warning to towns that build too far from the safety of structures that are tall enough to protect from the wind.
Manifestation
The Dry Cold as a Magical Storm which is metaphysical law that is common in Miyla and other such realms like Ell Brich. The manifestation and visualization of The Dry Cold can be both eerie and captivating creating a unique and evocative atmosphere.
Crystalline Frost
Once The Dry Cold takes hold, the area becomes encased in a delicate, crystalline frost. Everything that this frost touches is covered in intricate ice formations, akin to frost patterns on a windowpane. This frost is remarkably dry and doesn't look typical showing a unique and pristine appearance.Frozen Time
In regions where The Dry Cold governs time appears to come to a halt. It looks like moments frozen in time or very slow-moving. In severe areas, the people look like they are standing still, mid-movement with their breath visible in the frigid air. In other areas like Geogefi Ubu the capital city of Ell Brich people can move around normally at an unhindered pace but the snowflakes that are often falling during the storm seem to be suspended mid-air. This makes the city look like a snow globe. When the storm is in non-urban places it works in much the same way with some animals either completely frozen or being able to move fine in the frozen landscape. The plants do often freeze but are still alive under the ice as they are use to living in this world. The crystalized flowers appear to be in perpetual bloom and they appear to be frozen forever although they are not and often have Khitse Sturakticesū.Whispering Incicles
The icicles that from in the Dry Cold are not enterily silent. They emit faint, haunting whispers that carry the echoes of past moments, events, and memories. The whispers are cryptic and seem to talk over each other. Those that listen to the whispers can get fragments of memories of the events that happened there.Dream Anomalies
Regions affected by The Dry Cold are considered by the Hetu Kɑnabe people to have a strong tie to The Dream causing there to be strange behavior. This is often visualized by pockets of reality that is rippled or warped in some way, causing objects to appear distored or doubled. The further emphasizing the surreal nature of this phenomenon, of course these pockets are only found in the wild and are not in the storm that is over the capital. The other anomalies that happen in The Dry Cold is that the air shimmers with an otherworldy, iridescent aura, creating a hazy and surreal atmospere. The effect is especially prominent in areas that are traditionally beleived to have a strong concetion to The Dream which further makes the area seem dreamlike. An odd part of this is that being in strong dreamlike storms is that is feels like a bunch of disconnected moments that are slow moments. Also, a person who is walking through storm will leave footprints that will fade behind them creting a visually stunning effect as the steps join The Dream. The inanimate objects that are caught in the storm will display crystalline frost and if they are caught in more dreamlike stomr will also have cracking and freezing surfaces that appear unusual and striking. These buildings and structures may bear intricate frost patterns that seemingly record the memories of the building trapped in the storm.Frozen Echoes
The Dry Cold's connections to The Dream has caused echoes of the past to linger in places where the storms are currently raging. These Frozen Echoes are visual or auditory representations of past events, trapped in time with the memories of what has happened. Observing ir interacting with them can reveal hidden secrets of what happened there in the past. Sometimes these echoes are more visual and take the from of an unusual thing that happens to tears shed in The Dry Cold regardless of how sevre the storm is. These tears often freeze quickly once they roll off of a person's cheeck into suspeneded, floating, crystalline tears. These tears symbolize the emotions and experiences that have been captured and preserved by the storm.Localization
