A building considered to be a refuge would be a building that is anchored in some sort of religion. We can write about a temple or shrine to one or more Fa Geinn Gods or we can write about about other churches in the world. For Fa Geinn focus on the gods that have a better PR team than Qaydith.
The Sister Array of New Junon would be a technology that is used for defense. Any mech would work as well. As that would work for the technology that goes with defense
The unit that Could become the captain is tasked with protecting a city. There is also the idea of honor guards for rulers or gods. Maybe special monks that protect a temple or monastery. These could work for the Unit Formation prompt
An item that can used for personal protection could be a gun, knife, or wand. Some sort of small defensive tools.
