Personal History

She is the daughter of the mayor of the part of the city that likes to believe in authority and that kind of thing. Thanks to that, she learnt something about order, politics, and how often people―even those who don’t believe in order and rules―crave the protection of some strong and consistent person or entity in front of the cruelty of those who use their skills to hurt or rob others.
When she joined the school, she was looking to understand their ways to defeat them and become as loved and helpful as her parents. Her inability to learn the skills to do those things increased her determination but also made her bitter.
When the school therapist tried to use her lack of skills to convince her to abandon the school and follow some other path, the conversation lead to her wondering what she really wanted, and… somehow that ended up with her deciding that she didn’t need to be either powerful or heroic, she only needed to convince people that she was such things.
