The blackboard

Design

The blackboard extends through a whole wall in the Courtyard, and it's exaclty what its name implies.
The blackboard painting used is black, and there is no frame or divisions in it, so it would look like a random black wall if it wasn't always in use.
It's protected from the elements by the desing of the building and nothing else.

Denizens

It's only students who write on the blackboard. And the Janitor, occassionaly

Hazards & Traps

It's just a chalkboard! There is nothing to be afraid of.
You may want to bring your own chalk and eraser though. It's the Academy, after all. Anything could be poisoned or cursed or... worse. Mostly for homework or as part of some personal vendetta.
And be careful with what you erase, too.

Special Properties

The blackbooard itself is quite ordinary. No high tech or magic to enhance it's durability or provide any convinient effect.
The same cannot be said about what's on it's surface. Some students use magical chalk or some special substances to preserve a message, others draw spells and rituals ready to be triggered, and once a student poisoned the areas around the doors to paralize everyone who tried to support themselves on the doorframes.
