Session 002: Temple of Hylax Report
General Summary
Arrival seeing a great many people & several starships taking off & landing from a spaceport north of the city.
Abandoned cars prevented passage so Commander Hadiya Najiri gave the order to walk to Fort Gallant. It was only a mile, on that walk she gave them new orders. "Go to the Temple of Hylax in the mountains & return with Xelonan."
Midnight Squad bunked down at Fort Gallant for the night before getting a lift in a hover car to an all terrain armoured SDF vehicle near the city of Reos.
Driving north along the highway Midnight Squad came up to a wounded man laying on the road, begging for help. Once Midnight Squad came out of their vehicle. Two others attempted to jump out & surprise Midnight Squad, they were spotted. Midnight Squad killed all except Riddick who surrendered to them, they tied him up & put him in the back of their vehicle.
Continuing along the highway Midnight Squad came up to a fuelling station. Where they saw three swarm scouts attacking a vehicle. Midnight Squad defeated all of the swarm compenents & Remu jumped onto the car roof.
Driving ten minutues they came up to Major Jaldamarrak on the side of the road, with a large gash on him. The major was holding onto his entrails. When Negaflare came up to him, he took the glory medallion from his chest & put it onto Negaflare's chest as he died.
Continuing down their vehicle was shot at while at the waterwork facility. Fumbles was able to correct course & not end up in a snow bank. Speaking to Susreth Susaro a SDF soldier,. They learnt that he was from the squadron they were sent out oto find, & he lost control. He was seeing phantoms of the swarm all around. Negaflare attributed that effect to the swarm.
Coming up to the small town that the family came from, they saw a crowd & dispersed it with diplomacy, spoke to the guards Ellen Ripley & Johnny Rico. Midnight squad spoke to the guards & they weren't willing to allow them into the facility to speak to Reda without her permission. They decided to continue along to the temple.
Midnight Squad went up to the temple & found three of a SDF squad dead in their vehicle, Kosh took their gear & put it in the back of their vehicle. The temple had two swarm scouts in a daze right in front of the entrance. When Midnight Squad attempted to enter the Temple they became alert & attacked Midnight Squad. Midnight Squad was able to take them out, & went into the temple. Fumbles noticed traps just in the entrance. Most of Midnight Squad walked around it & Remu jumped over it.
A secret hiding compartment was seen & inspected by one of the party.
Xelonan wasn't originally willing to leave with Midnight Squad, & yet after the temple was attacked by swarm components he decided to take his chances with Midnight Squad.
One of the swarm components exploded in a burst of acid when it was defeated, getting everyone except Xelonan & Fumbles.
Midnight Squad started to make it's way down the mountains, which took an hour. Giving them time to regain stamina (if wanted), & to sort through the items that Kosh put in the vehicle.
