Chapter 4: The Harder they fall
General Summary
The Outsiders were prepping their prize for transport when they heard a voice behind them challenge them for the body of the boar. It was Castor, the gladiator they had humiliated two days prior. He told them to walk away and give him their catch. Of course they declined, and a battle raged.
They found Castor to be a much more competent fighter sober and things were looking grim until the fight was interrupted by another group. From the underbrush emerged Keiran and his company. There was a tense moment as it was unclear where Keiran's loyalties lie. To ensure their victory The Outsiders offered more gold than the recently robbed Castor could muster.
With Keiran on their side the tide turned in their favor and they were able to defeat Castor and his cronies. As the battle reached it's peak, Thonur dealt the final blow, a forceful thrust of his guantleted fist into Castor's anus, tearing the soft tissue of his colon and causing extensive hemorrhaging. There was a moment of stunned silence as no one was quite sure how to react while Castor bled out into the grass.
Taking his gold Keiran left the party to their boar, satisfied with the coin. As he walked away Spalding heaved the carcass on to this shoulders and they were on their way.

On their way back to town the party found themselves walking through a swamp. Spalding and Nyx at the front of the group start to notice motion ahead in the close knit branches. As they try to pass the message down the line to their companions croaking is heard from all directions and a group of giant frogs descend on the party.
During the battle Spalding was consumed and cut his way out from the inside of the frog. Nyx notices something in the bushes, a serpent, and takes a moment to commune with the beast. She asks him to join them, to fight with her against her enemies. Together they come to an agreement and he joined the battle at her side.
With the frogs dispatched the party begins again towards town. As they turned the corner past a fallen log they noticed a broken bow, a pretty thing made or dark rosewood with floral design inlaid with mother of pearl, lying in the mud. Such a unique piece that Lura and Nyx were able to identify as Aurae's. ----------------------------------------------------------
They brought the boar to Loralle for judging and turned in for a nap at the tavern; waking that evening in time for the feast.
Hector, Sidel , and Krumman were seated at the head table on a raised stage at the back of the festival grounds. When the feast begin The Outsiders noticed the boar they had bagged was front and center on the main table in front of the stage. As the festival goers gathered and got setup Hector stood and addressed the crowd, naming The Outsiders as the winners of the boar contest. As the victors of the hunt the party was awarded a prize; their choice between a Pearl of Power presented by Hector, Gauntlets of Ogre Power presented by Krumman , or a Cloak of Elvenkind presented by Sidel. After much discussion they agreed on the Pearl of Power.
Going upon the stage to receive their award, Dwossoth and Nyx stayed behind to avoid Krumman recognizing them as the ones who started the brawl at his shop. Rose however saw opportunity and used her time on the stage to pocket the gauntlets as well.
With the formal portion of the festivities concluded everyone in attendance began tapping the casks of ale and it was not long before all were either passed out or safely in bed.
