The Sleeping Death

The Sleeping Death was a plague that swept through the Neverwinter woods taking the lives of many, decimating the population of Ebonmere.
It's victims were asymptomatic for weeks at the beginning, allowing the plague to spread quickly between unknowing individuals. Once it showed itself it moved quickly; sapping energy and vitality from the victim until they had not the strength to get out of bed and eventually succumbing to an eternal slumber giving the plague it's name.

Symptoms

Slowly worsening lethargy, sapping energy until the victim cannot move on their own, eventually they are unable to metabolize energy to the point their body cannot expand the lungs and they slowly asphyxiate, mimicking the appearance of falling asleep and never waking.

Treatment

Blood Boar Stew boosted the vitality of the villagers of Ebonmere allowing them to overcome the plague.
