A World Inherited

Unveron is a small garden-world - roughly the size of our moon, Luna - orbiting a yellow star named Aphur. Orbiting the world itself are two moons: Emia and Gemia. Emia is a reflective ball of white in the night sky, and Gemia is a tiny ball of black that can only ever be seen at specific times.   Unveron is an ancient place, and the civilizations that call her home aren't the first. Millenia ago, two great Empires spanned both of the world's two continents. Both have fallen, with little trace of their existence untouched by time. Their names are lost to history, and so is the knowledge of what caused them to fall to ruin. The tiny scraps found are vague and often contradictory. Some believe the cause to be a cataclysmic war, and others believe the empires to have rotted from within. None can be sure.

Twinned Lands

Unveron has two continental landmasses covering it's eastern and western hemispheres, with each continent separated from the other by oceans. Barren glaciers dot the worlds poles. The continent of Chalesia sits in the western hemisphere, and the continent of Ra-Sia rests in the eastern hemisphere.   Chalesia is a continent of plains, savannahs and lush forests. The civilizations of the continent predominantly rest on its edges, with it's heartland of grasslands and savannahs remaining largely untamed. This heartland - called the Dread Frontier - remains untamed because it's dominated by a seemingly endless ecology of ruthless monsters and horrors. Villages that settle too far into the Frontier rarely last. Peninsulas near the poles are wreathed in forested tundras, but are separated from the polar icecaps by thin expanses of ocean.   Ra-Sia is a continent divided; a massive mountain range - called the Great Barrier Range - almost entirely cleaves the continent in two. The only exceptions are the forested stretches of land on the northern and southern shores of the Great Barrier. Such passes are precious trade lines between the two halves of the continent. The western half is mostly fertile grassland fed by rains from the Dividire Ocean separating it from Chalesia's eastern shores. The eastern half is mostly forests fed by rains from the Ocean of Arusor separating it from Chalesia's western coast, with savannahs near the equator. Rumors and mysteries abound at what could be found hidden within the ancient Barrier.
