The Legion

Not just a clan: an army.

Among the fractured organizations of the North, the Legion has achieved the impressive effort of uniting more clans than any other. It has done so by ruthlessly raiding the surrounding clans and towns and claiming their lands.

Joining the Legion

There are a few ways of becoming a part of the Legion: Be born into it, or have your home conquered and be forcefully drafted. Some even join it voluntarily. Either way, joining is final. There is no way to leave once you've become part of it, unless you're willing to risk being caught and executed.   For many, joining the Legion seems like the way to a better life - this is enforced by the propaganda it spreads. It makes many promises that are alluring to people who live in poverty, persecution, or have to struggle not to get killed by raiders and other hostile clans.

Daily Life

In the Legion, everyone has a task and/or job, and this is strictly enforced. For a large portion of their members, the job is being a soldier. But even the soldiers are kept busy during their downtime: Usually through Legion-approved entertainment or training.

The Units

There are different types of units: Support, Provisioning, Admin, and Core. The Legion operates on the principle of every member being assigned to a unit and the life in these units is rather different for each type. They have vastly different tasks, and switching to a different type of unit is usually impossible or a big undertaking.   The Core units are the ones that the frontline soldiers belong to; the most special feature of those units is that they are supplied with a highly addictive drug that promises to increase their performance in combat. The drug has severe withdrawal effects, which makes these soldiers dependent on staying with the Legion, as it is basically impossible to acquire it anywhere outside it.

Assets

The Legion is in possession of vehicles (regular and armored) and modern weapons, which it can produce due to its established infrastructure. Given the technological advantage, it's easy for them to overpower most opponents.

History

There are no exact records of the Legion's beginnings, but it is commonly known that it used to be a "normal" clan before it grew to its current extents. For the majority of its existence, it used to be ruled by a sort of council; this was replaced by a singular leader about 10 years ago when Armageddon got in charge and seized all the power for herself.   Since then, the campaigns of the Legion have become more aggressive, both the raids and the recruiting. Their territory has been expanded significantly in these years.
