Dream of Tenk'so (Land)

The Dream of Land has no constellation, as every mage has access to Tenk'so, the Dream of Land on top of their birth Dream. It is thus speculated that the planets sun is somehow the Land, or Earth sun, and all other constellations have one star given over to a dream as well, so it's not so much the constellation, but a certain star within the constellation that imbues someone with a Dream of Power.

Effect

Tenk'so is the art of utilising and shaping the earth. It is generally considered harmless as far as Dreams go, with its more dangerous cousin being that of Dakul . Tenk'so sees use in farming and growing, with adepts and early civilisations quickly learning how to get two or even three crop harvests out of the soil in a single year depending on how many adepts live in the area and how hard they are worked.

Side/Secondary Effects

Even though all mages can use it, the ageing effect does not change, meaning civilisations walk a fine line when they rely heavily on Tenk'so users, balancing increased yearly crop harvests, and thus an increased population that requires that level of feeding, with mages that are also available for defence in times of war.   Many rising Empires have botched this balancing act, pushing farming too much and having mages with too few years left to spend on defence in war, seeing whole cadres fading out of existence either too early in a battle, or leaving the population to starvation and inevitable revolt as the necessary food production crashes along with the last practitioner of the generation aging out of existence. Potentially it could also swing the other way: not utilising the Dream of Tenk'so enough, meaning a much reduced overall population than neighbouring powers but with potentially more powerful and longer lasting mages.

Manifestation

Tenk'so generally has no outward manifestation, with the mage only needing to stand or lay a hand on the ground and using their ayther in order to pull nutrients and water into the soil. This power can also be used however to pull such nutrients away from other places. Such a manifestation is useful in times of war, where a magical tug of war can be started for the fertility of each sides fields.

Source

Unlike other Dreams, mages who enter Tenk'so while drawing power mention how certain geographical locations, mountains, valleys etc. remain constant while in the Dream, unlike other Dreams where the geography is changed or alien. Power also comes to the mage easier while in the Dream, like breathing or feeling it flow into them through their feet rather than having to pull it to them like in others.
