Mundanes see Anastasia Markova as a beautiful, dusky skinned, twenty-something jet setter, but anyone with knowledge of Shadowkind knows that she is in fact a drow who is at least 125 years old. Of course, that makes many suspicious of Anastasia’s motives and her company’s actions, but to this day M.E. Intl. has never been involved in anything even marginally illegal. It does, however, specialize in programming of exceptionally questionable taste.

Anastasia Markova arrived in the Mundane world with the name Pellanistra Rhomduil. She quickly realized that she needed to reinvent herself if she was going to thrive in this new world. Thus, she took on a new name along with a new identity. Using her charisma, she was able to establish herself amongst the local criminals. Through them she obtained the required legal papers to establish her background story for her new identity. Once she had obtained these, she began working at a news paper as a reported. It was only a matter of time before she had worked her way to the top and wrested control of the company. Wednesday, March 28, 2046 she rebranded the company, renaming it Markova Enterprises. That was the beginning of her corporate empire.
She was within the Mundane world for the Fall of Democracy. Her company survived the upheavals during The Era of Anarchy by doing what her company does best: exploiting the situation to make good entertainment. When Draco Industries took over Seattle, Anastasia Markova was quick to follow suit and lay claim to Port Orchard. But her ambition drove her to quickly dominate are larger region.
