Mr. Onimako's Briefcase

As one of the most sought-after advisers in the world, Mr. Onimako understands that he must take great care with all material and information entrusted to him. He knows that the contents of his briefcase alone would probably fetch several million dollars sight unseen on the black market. Therefore, he has taken stringent measures to ensure that even if his briefcase was stolen, no one would ever benefit from its contents.   Mr. Onimako’s briefcase looks ordinary enough. It is a finely crafted leather case with a digital locking mechanism and titanium reinforced shell. The digital lock is a ruse. Entering any code into the digital lock activates the briefcase’s defenses.   The real lock is contained in fingerprint readers built into the handle. When Mr. Onimako squeezes a specific pressure sequence, the case opens. If the case is unlocked with the proper sequence on the handle (but lacking the proper finger prints), it opens into a space similar to that created by a secret pocket spell, only larger. The briefcase can hold up to 25 pounds of material. Anyone other than Mr. Onimako who reaches into the case finds only pens, business cards, and recent copies of financial periodicals.   When trying to break apart or tear open the briefcase it has the following stats: AC 23, HP 100, Damage threshold 30. Immune to non-magical attacks. If a character succeeds in reducing the briefcase to HP 0, they have effectively pried it open. This triggers the briefcase's defenses.  

Defense System

The only way to turn off the defense system is to properly unlock the briefcase with the proper fingerprints.   If the case is unlocked incorrectly (or successfully torn open), it opens into a 20-ft. by 20-ft. extradimensional space that is home to a vivilor. The vivilor reaches across the dimensional boundary and attempts to grapple the person who opened the briefcase. Once the person is grappled, the vivilor pulls him into the extradimensional space, then closes and locks the briefcase if possible.   When this system activates, it sends an alert to Mr. Onimako that the system was activated along with the location of the briefcase. The message is sent to cybernetic implant in his brain.

Actions

Multiattack.

The Vivilor makes a slime attack and up to two tentacle attacks, or it makes up to four tentacle attacks.

Slime.

Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (4d10 + 3) poison damage.

Tentacle.

Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15) and is moved up to 5 feet toward the Vivilor. Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the Vivilor can’t use this tentacle against other targets. The Vivilor has four tentacles it can attack with.

Legendary Actions

The Vivilor can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Vivilor regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Slime Attack.

The Vivilor makes one slime attack against one creature it has grappled.

Teleport.

The Vivilor magically teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying and any creatures it has grappled, up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.

Vanish.

The Vivilor magically becomes invisible for up to 10 minutes or until immediately after it makes an attack roll.
