Investigating the Cathedral

Team 8 met with Moxie and Mouse. They agreed to check out the cathedral in exchange for 2 Greater Restoration scrolls. While in the cathedral, the team experiences the bending of time. They are able to find the case and sort the time line.

Team 8 met with Moxie and Mouse. They agreed to check out the cathedral in exchange for 2 Greater Restoration scrolls. Team 8 went to the cathedral and begin to explore the area. While in the cathedral, they fight gargoyles and strange dust creatures. Ricky moves black shards and they grow into gargoyles. Avitus finds a note in the Monk dorm that is written in his own hand writing. The note warns of dangerous creatures and suggests that he will die. Avitus then finds an old Bun Bun that reports that he was left alone in the room for a long time. When the two Bun Buns got close to each other, a force blasted them apart from each other. Avitus was whisked away to another time, but returned to the party in a few moments.   Ricky blinked of of existence after finishing the fight against the gargoyle and dust creature. Team 8 finished exploring the Cathedral. They went into the Mausoleum where they found an extra dimensional space. A mechanical being appeared after they came back out and declared itself to be Inevitable. Team 8 fought and defeated the mechanical being. Before it powered down, it touched Young Bun Bun which caused him to disappear. The Old Bun Bun then declared that he remembered that he woke up in the room after this fight, which is different then what he had previously reported had happened. Team 8 went to the room where they found Old Bun Bun and found that Young Bun Bun was in that room. When Avitus picked up Young Bun Bun the Old Bun Bun disappeared. The temporal distortion in this room was resolved and the gargoyle that was trapped there was able to come out. Team 8 called Moxie and began to compare various details of the church with Moxie to determine if all the Temporal anomalies had been resolved. While checking the alter, they hear a noise. They found Ricky in a storage room fighting a statue. They helped him defeat the statue. Once it was defeated, they found themselves outside the church again as if they had just arrived. All the temporal anomalies are resolved. The monks are using the church and Moxie does not recall having asked them to check the church. Ricky reports to the group that when he disappeared, he found himself in the future where he encountered Doctor Walter Henry Owens. The doctor explained that now that the Care Taker of Time was destroyed he could finish his experiments into time. Ricky declined to participate in the experiment and instead destroyed the doctor's machine which resulted in him returning to the church.
