Personal history

Mari believes that while she's had a hard life, she's also had a blessed one. It was harder on her, but having both of her parents pass away at the same time meant that they didn't know the pain of being without each other, and for two people who had been married since they met each other in high school, that seemed like the best way to go.
She's an only child, adopted when she was a baby, and sees each day as a path that might not have happened. Due to her (as her mother put it, huge heart) she decided she wanted to be a doctor. However, after looking at the medical field, she decided she wanted to be part of an ambulance crew. Her mothers worried that she wouldn't be able to handle the heartbreak if a person died in front of her, but Mari found that (even though it was hard, especially if the deceased was a child) she had the iron in her to help others while withstanding the storm.
Currently, she lives alone (no pets, no children, no lovers) and she's okay with that. Sure, it can be a little lonely at times, but doesn't everyone get lonely? She hides a secret from her past (that she once accidentally maimed a person and left them injured on the road - it's why being a EMC is her job and she doesn't want to leave it).

Education

Mari wasn't the best at school, but she kept her grades high enough to get into medical school. Truth be told, she might have wanted to be a doctor, but didn't have the grades needed to get into the best schools.
She did join after school clubs, such as the Volunteer Club.

Employment

Currently employed by private ambulance service: Blue Star Ambulance
Blue Star Ambulance is a company that holds a contract to deliver a person to the hospital best for them (for the company, that means which hospital will accept the patient and pay the company for transporting them. Mari will end up breaking her contract and designing a hospital that concentrates on beings and hybrids since this is how she sees the future going.
