General Summary

The party started the session discussing the size of chests and the amount of coinage within. We spent 20–30 minutes discussing it until finally I strongly hinted they just take the time to know for sure. They counted 13k gp and 16 pp. A good amount. James did spend an advantage and inspiration on it, so I should have done more than brush it aside, but that was at the beginning of the 30 minutes and he spent a lot of time working on it too.. See what needs to happen next time in that instance.   Galladon used his dragon breath to create and sustain ice so that Levy could draw a teleportation circle on it. They, everyone but Galladon, went to Gorred's. He welcomed them and asked where Sersy, Vorgan, and Galladon were. Levy informed him of everyone's fate. He told them that the Fellowship of the Angel is still active and that their carriage was the site of an almost break-in. That's where he found Globey who followed him back go his tower.   Levy asked about Galladon's condition and if he knew of any one who possibly had knowledge of it. Gorred suggested archmage of Ylter Tower or Skinners. They inquired about a carriage, at which Gorred held his hand and in it poofed a 6-inch cube. He spoke a command word and hit the top and it folded out into a carriage comparable to their own. He offered them a horse too for 3k gp, but they only took the carriage for 5k gp. When asked if he could do that to their carriages he said it is a process that takes time to do. He did say perhaps the archmage of Yym could give them some writ so they could access the mage tower in the Riverlands and see the archmage there. They put their horses and cart in the connecting stable and agreed to pay, though they haven't paid, for Gorred to house them. He saw them off as they teleported to the Skinners.   The Skinners house was in the middle of a snowstorm that blew down from the Ironbacks. They called out for Daim or whomever was there. John answered. He was s lightly bent with wild salt-and-pepper hair and muttonchops completely void of hair on his chin and lips. He demanded who they were and how they arrived. Once explained they were B.O.L.D. he relented, and went down a flight of stairs to the fourth storey. Here he let them know of the Giant Jour and how they were commissioned, more like begged, to come up with some weapon to defeat him. One of their students, Faendril, loved transmutation magic. At this time i history, there was no real cap on magic and they came up with 10th-level spells. Faendril came up with his permanent polymorph. Metaphysically, the soul and body are separate, but Daim relayed to John — Daim completely knew the scroll was Faendril, having been his teacher and seen his work before — that this was Faendril. He had fallen to Jour's influence and sought out the realm of lichdom, the same semi-lich the party slew at the beginning of the campaign. He told them nothing can change him back, not even wish.   They also spoke of Founts. John pressed who they talked to and how they knew it. After finding out, he let them know a bit about them. Particularly they are studied by less than 100 persons at any given time, their location changes inexplicably and unexpectedly to somewhere else. Normally they are invisible. He has never heard of anyone coming close to harvesting to harnessing their power. They are holes basically to another dimension, probably the astral plane from what he knows. He says it's remarkable they have lived to tell of it since Scholars go years practicing before they can successfully spend any extended amount of time near one. He suggested not telling anyone of Founts.   After this, he sold 500 gp worth of teleportation circle chalk to levy and saw them out. They left for Yym at the end of the session.
