The benevolent reign of partly elected. partly monarchal rulers from the little country of Caradas have generously reigned for decades. After a violent coup in 2500, the people set up this current system of government. The rebels, under assistance from a powerful mage, established this new rule of humble and generous rulers who give back to the people when taxes are too high, facilitate others when food or shelter is low, and lead into battle when crises occur. The leader is known as Crahmako which is an old word for "conciliator, peacemaker."
