Hills of Syrosyrus (Seer-oh-seer-us)
A beautiful land of shortgrass hills that roll with mostly shrubs and the occasional grove. Located in northern Cryhton.

Surging Storms
Syrosyrus' location by the sea with sharp winds give it the most spectacular thunderstorms during it rainy months. The ferocity of these storms reinforce the reverence of Kord in the population of the region.

Sandy Grass
Towards the extreme interior of the hills, where the Mountaine Federation foothills meet the rolling hills, the ground is so parched and dry that a fine layer of sand layers the hills. This creates an odd visual of grass cropping up from sand, perfectly healthy and fine.Climate
The summer and autumn is generally hot and arid, though by the coasts it is humid due to the warm breezes from the Taz'mattan Sea bringing moisture. Only a few miles inland does the moisture cease and the arid steppe begin.
In winter and early spring the rains finally beat back the aridity, though they do not necessarily cool the region. Clouds command the skies and thunder rolls over the hills. Migrations occur during this time.
Fauna & Flora
The shortgrass shifts from green to yellow during the dry and cooler months. Being near the equator it is generally warm to hot in the summer and dry months. The rainy cool months come as its winter.
The Syrosyrus Rhinoceros, a wide, shaggy-skinned beast, roams the hills in small packs. The savannah wolves — "dingos" — hunt the weak and slow in their tactical packs, but the rhinos' fierce bellows and charges send these opportunists running. The Rhinoceros is a symbol to the whole region and appears on the coat-of-arms of many noble houses.
