Quicksilver in Evoria

Gobtober 2021: Prompt 19

Cinnabar deposits underneath Morangl provide the the dwarves here with valuable quicksilver. The liquid is used in a plethora of applications including manufacturing certain mithril articles. The dwarves find quicksilver extremely useful, and as such, hoard it. They delve deeper into the deposits and forge bars of quicksilver for use in their forges.
Outside of dwarven circles there isn't much use of quicksilver. The humans and elves don't find it appealing and many other species don't care for it either. As such it is a limited market. This doesn't stop dwarves from greedily snatching up what they can, even spilling blood, certain clans have. This has given rise to its other name, "bloodsilver." Dwarves also use coins minted in each major city as currency.
