Tenku

The most prominent are the Tenku. These are prolific breeders and have many young. Their houses are generally what can be found in the many Avian cities, Yab'nush being the capital. They are "city birds" who are keen of mind. Unfortunately, their keenness and ample feats of dexterity make them some of the best thieves. Those are few and far between, but the most prominent gangs in "Yabby" are Black Feather, Hooked Beak, and the grand Dark Eagle. Outside of metropolitan areas, Tenku are more in tune with nature, living in harmony as fishers in the lush western and northern coasts.

Beauty Ideals

Immaculate, preened feathers. Color for some races as it is exotic. Clothing with bright colors suggests playfulness and sensuality.

Gender Ideals

Males are usually far from home, whether as mercenaries or dockhands or fishers. They return every few days if on Samba Ka or every few months if on the mainland to give their families wages and the like.
Females are usually housemakers, but also warriors and guardians, usually the best. There is no hardship against a female who wants to go work instead of the husband, most females typically just want to stay home.

Courtship Ideals

Courting takes place over the course of exactly thirteen moons. Within that time the couple must decide if they will marry or not. They are not allowed to break the engagement until after the thirteen months. It is just seen as distasteful.

Relationship Ideals

One strong and brave, the other gentle and kind are ideal for a family. If the two decide to not have a family then any combination is seen as well and good.
