Wandering Sunshrine to Pelor

Gobtober 2021: Prompt 27
A small group of priests and clerics travel along the highways of Evoria carrying a burden. From city to village they carry it on poles, weighted by grace and love and gold. At each stop the people gather, crowding around looking for the prize they hold. Their burden: a medium sized box within which is a small gold and silver shrine to Pelor.   The shrine is an altar base and statuette top. The statuette is of Pelor himself, with one hand palm up, offering assistance. His other hand is raised in a gesture of good will and benevolence. His altar is used to offer sacrifices for prayer. The priests carry the box on poles that rest between loops for carrying.   People gather to feel the warmth emanating from the statuette. It can melt snow if placed on the ground. Many people swear they hear a aria coming from it, soft and gentle, comforting. In many of the towns people spring up in song and dance. The sunshine raining upon them from above and from the shrine. It inspires joy in all those it comes across. The downtrodden find new hope in their despair, the weak find a calming peace about their situation, the joyful find a new well from which to draw.   This inspiring spectacle only stays in a particular town for a night while the priests rest. They carry it across Evoria in a circuit. Many say that whichever town they in which they rest receives good fortune for four years, the usual circuit course.
