Peche Docks

Founded on October 1st, 1914, Peche Docks is a shipbuilding company exclusively dedicated to the construction and update of Warships. It was originally thought to be a German-Yudonian company in WW1 but, as the coalition with Germany was cancelled, the company had to be put in good hands.   A competition was made, and Peche Docks was given to two companies, Bolt Yachts and Batcher and Luje manufacture as they ended up in a draw in the competition and decided to join as BBL United. They later received Peche Docks under the name of Peche United. The competition started on October 10th, 1914, and ended on August 10th, 1915.

Pre-war

As the company was put in hands of Peche United, the company was theoretically closed on August 10th, 1915, that was the last day on which we can count their ships as produced by them, and not by Peche United. Until that date, in exactly 10 months, Peche Dockyards built 12 Patrol Gunboats, 5 C-class destroyer (1913) (including HMS Racehorse & HMS Lydiard,1914) and one Light Cruiser (HMS Cleopatra, 1915), in total, 18 vessels.

Assets

Until August 10th, 1915, the company had 2 dry docks, one sizing 78 meters, and the other, a bit bigger, sizing 133 meters. The 12 Patrol Gunboats were built in a little extension of their dock, and all of the armament was British, most of them imported, but some actually made in Yudonian Factories.
In the image, HMS Cleopatra is launched into the Mediterranean Sea on January 14th, 1915.
