USS New Jersey

The beast, the great, the queen of all oceans. Saved from Pearl and now in the pearl islands.
An Iowa-Class Battleship built during World War 2 by the USA and later sold to Yudonia on 1946.   New Jersey was built on 7 of December, 1942, in the USA, and was named after the State of New Jersey. It fought during ww2 in the Pacific Theatre with USS Nimitz, a Nimitz class carrier, and was one of the main components in Guam an Okinawa Battles. Also served as escort for multiple smaller vessels and carriers, and coastal bombarded several territories of the Japanese Empire throughout the war.   On 1946, as part of the treaty of Versailles and previous treaties signed between the USA and Yudonia, it was decided to basically gift the ship to the archipelago for its defense fleet, and with another couple dozen vessels, Yudonia entered NATO as one of the most powerful members by the time.   New Jersey was renamed as YSS Plavit (BB-1) in honor of one of the main islands of the archipelago and remained an important ship for several years, when she was adopted as a training vessel for 4 years but later converted into a museum. From then, the ship has remained active and without any structural changes in case it is needed, and it can be delivered again to the Federal Navy of Yudonia in case of a national emergency.   After 1960's there were some attempts by socialist leaders from Yugoslavia, the USSR and others to convince Yudonia of abandoning NATO and joining the Warsaw Pact, none of them successful. After that, Plavit fought in Vietnam, the Libanese Civil war, and even in the Venezuelan Blockade.
