Episode 11 - The Gleaming Junction

A Hellish Highway

After slaying one of the Twins, Yasha and Click return to the guards' barricade with the body to inform them of the outcome. At this point, Esmerelda and Fangalf awake while Click immediately heads to sleep. After appraising everyone of the situation, the group heads towards the capital; Moonstone. Upon their arrival, Yasha and Esmeralda break off to explore one of the local temples on a sort of 'date', while Fangalf heads to the local markets to get some supplies.
Yasha and Esmerelda's date ends up being very awkward, but they both end up finding some interesting information about the Drow Goddess Lolth and her role in help the Drow of Midnights Crown settle here. Meanwhile Fangalf searches for some potions and various other supplies whilst vaguely trying to set himself up as a small legend amongst the people.
Once the party reconvenes they head towards Gloompoint Bay, having to travel via the Gleaming Junction – a network of roads guarded with reflective panels to direct sunlight towards creatures that harass travellers. The journey through the junction starts easily enough, however they and the other travellers on the road are quickly set upon by monsters native to the underdark. An intense chase ensues, with Yasha falling off the carriage at one point, however he is able to leap down to a lower roadway and land on the carriage once again. The party fight of the remaining creatures and continue their journey towards Gloompoint Bay.
