Episode 13 - The Lake Temple

The party awakens, reunited, but inside a strange underwater structure with no clear immediate means of exit. They discover some contraptions that appear to lead to an inert portal archway, and then begin exploring further inside. They come to an initial library area where they gain some context about where they are. They find that this place was a research facility where a group of elves were experimenting on enchanting adamantite, and its effects on souls. Continuing through the facility, they find evidence of previous adventurers aligned with Hati and some that came far before. They passed through a sleeping area where the original denizens lay deceased, and then proceeded to the main research chamber.
The research chamber had assorted research materials and apparatuses around the room. The focal point however was a large, cracked, spherical monolith made of silver, glowing green out of its slim wound. After some quick looting, Yasha found an adamantite pickaxe to extract the materials ensconced in the silver monolith casing. Fangalf took the pick and harvested a chunk of the magical adamantite. This action simultaneously activated and destabilized the monolith, which served as the power source for the facility. The monolith shuddered and emitted a magical wave that knocked everyone unconscious.
When they came to, they saw that the facility was powered again, however the magic wave had caused everyone to switch bodies: Yasha to Click, Click to Fangalf, Fangalf to Esmerelda, Esmerelda to Gimick, and Gimick to Yasha. After some disorientation and swapping of notes, they set off to make their exit now the power was restored. They were stopped by the reanimated corpses of the former researchers and adventurers, however the group was able to make quick work of them as they got used to each other's abilities. Once they were back in the living area, they turned to see that the inert traps they passed through on the way in had been activated.
