Dragoon Armor

Dragoon armor is a unique set that only the Dragoon wear.

Appearance

The dragoon armor went through 2 changes in design, mainly color. The first one was a dark violet with Damascus plating, and a gold intricate design; This one was worn by Ace'ildan Highwind. The other four sets, belonging to the other members of the dragoons, had a light blue tint. Though there was a difference in color, the armor sets all had similar design with two layers. The armors exterior was plated in the shoulders, upper chest, biceps, triceps, hands, knees and thighs. The plates and helm were spiked, draconic appearance. Under the plating was scaled mithral chain-mail. The only part that was not protect was the elbows for easier maneuverability.

Defense

The spikes protruding from the armor is more than just show. The spikes prevented from dragons sinking their teeth down on the wearer, and crushing them with their maw. 
aside from physical defenses, due to the armor being forged from the fires of Mt. Drakuul, it has been said that the armor had immunity from the dragons searing fire breath attacks.

Manufacturing process

To some dwarves that have heard the tales of the armors forging, only knew that the mithril and steel adamantine production was extremely difficult due to the magical procedures. To the few who refuse to share the exact details, the material had to be forged in highest forging temperatures. Only place that has proven to meet that requirements has been the fires in Mt. Drakuul.
