For the next seven decades, blood thirsty conflicts swept across the realms of Alvane.   During the War of the Six Kings, there were many rulers that sat upon the Throne of Roses, though their reigns were short lived. The longest reign recorded was three and half years. There was never a moment of reprieve from the bloodshed. Countless battles were waged and many more perished. Near the end of the century was when Alvane would be forever changed. The city of Castymere was under siege. Evastapolian royalty had rallied Midivia and Duskan together to put an end to its rebellion and gain a strategic foothold, while Ashwreyn and Greyfell kept out of the conflicts completely. With Castymere surrounded, it is believed that the House of Rayen had hoped to lead the nations into a trap to solidify their dominance.   On the 12th of, when the Vukainian capital was nearly at the mercy of the kingdoms, a massive burst of hellish fire exploded from the White Keep. This destroyed the city and the four armies that battled in its streets. This Day came to be known as the Day of Sorrow
