Companion Trust - WIP

Your healthy relationship between yourself and your Companion is represented by Trust, which can range from 1 to 10 points. Each risk you ask your Companion to take (that it wouldn't take on its own), and each failure or negative consequence of your requests, remove a Trust point. Spending time together slowly replenishes Trust points, as will directly aiding or saving your Companion from certain danger. If your Trust ever reaches 0, your Companion will refuse to assist you or listen to you, and you will have to work hard to repair your bond enough to start over at ground zero. If your Trust remains at 0 for long enough, your Companion may abandon you entirely.   No change in Trust if...
  • Your Companion acts on its own initiative to protect or help you.
  • You fight at your Companion's side.
  • You or your Companion get injured during a dangerous situation.
  • You direct your Companion in battle.
  •   Remove 1 Trust point if...
  • You ask your Companion to put itself in harm's way for someone else.
  • Your Companion gets badly hurt trying to fulfill an unreasonable request you make or participate in a bad plan you made.
  •   Restore 1 Trust point if...

  • You refuse to risk or sacrifice your Companion in order to reach a goal.
