Arch-necromancer
The Arch-necromancer of Necros is a title that often goes to the person considered to be the second-greatest necromancer in all the country, with the first greatest most often being the ruling king or queen. This person often wields more magic than even the High Priest of the Church of Na'arin and should have the same level of knowledge of necromancy.
With this power comes the responsibilities of managing the Office of Necromancy, passing policy related to necromancers, and acting as council to the ruling monarch. As such, the arch-necromancer is a prominant figure in politics and is both loved and feared by the Necrosi populace.
Arch-necromancer Anisha Brunhild is a national treasure. Just don't piss her off.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The arch-necromancer can be dismissed by the ruling king or queen of Necros, but this is rarely done unless a replacement has already been chosen and approved by the High Priest.
Reasons for dismissal can be failure to meet expectations or mismanagement of the Office of Necromancy. It can also be simply displeasing the ruling monarch. However, it is exceedingly rare for an arch-necromancer to be dismissed, as they are both loved and feared by the Necrosi necromancers and general populace, and all necromancers are highly valued in Necrosi culture.

The beautiful black crystal was shot through with veins of dark green that shimmered in the light. Its size, lustrous sheen, and lack of visible imperfections marked it as a superior energy stone capable of storing the life and magical energies of a powerful sorcerer.
The size and quality of the stone, the necromancer's ability level, and the type of sacrifice all determine the classification of a lifestone.
