The Salty Seadog
Built of solid, well-crafted wood she was one of the first, and so, is one of the oldest buildings found down by the business end of the docks. Initially, the structure served as Port Jasper's first inn and bar, attracting all newcomers back when it was called the Royal Rose.
This once beautiful building is now preserved and twisted by the sea spray and instead of creaking when the wind blows, she squeaks as her wooden framework tightens evermore on itself. Her silver, driftwood patina appeals to those, who too, have been expunged by the sea... taking residence within her old bones is restricted - only those obliging retirement are summitted, for many she will become their last stop.
Peppered with a motley crew of audacious, over seasoned, functionless seafarers whose favourite pastime is to argue over meaningless things, the place surprisingly has a decent selection of cooled ale and her perpetual patrons are always happy to spin you a cracking yarn for the price of a cold one.
