Ascending to baronhood at the ripe age of 14 following the death of his older brother Sebastian, Leopold appears to have been born to administer. One of the more talented administrators in the region, Briarwood's success as a province is in no small part attributed to the sound policy of a competent leader. That being said, the baron has next to no experience dealing with anything outside of the wheelhouse of a small regional ruler-- matters of war, conquest, and siege are alien to him.
