Siegurt of Scabberdale
Siegurt (a.k.a. Glynd Gutsier, The Lesser)
Siegurt of Scabberdale is the former owner and proprietor of Siegurt's Spellcraft, a struggling alchemy and reagent shop in the small fishing village. After failing out of the Arcane College, which he blames on former schoolmate Keerla Roween, he struggled to find "legitimate" work in the field of magic. Hungry and destitute, the would-be mage turned to less savory methods of earning coin, dabbling in sactioned arts such as necromancy. Eventually, he was approached by a mysterious figure in a dragonscale cloak and offered a considerable sum to pose as a legitimate enchanter and place a series of sigil runes throughout the nearby Bristlebeard Brewery, a known haunt of the Adventurers' Guild.
Prematurely triggered during a bar fight of unknown origin, each of the occupants of the fabled tavern found their souls trapped inside of a crystal. A group of adventurers tracked the gem to Siegurt, and confronted him within his lair deep inside Toadstool Cave. His secret revealed, he was captured after a short battle by the half-ogre Brunk of Briarwood and his companions. Turned upon by his own hired thugs, his escape attempt failed, resulting in the loss of his right hand and a bath of hot acid.
Several days later, a decaying, one-handed, undead spellcaster appeared to harass the party in @Scabberdale once more-- capturing the slothfolk Hamilton Letharr and retreating to Da Raidin' Kamp, a nearby stronghold of the master who resurrected him. Here he was beaten for the final time, felled by the arrow of an ambitiously industrious goblin with a keen eye. His bones were promptly burned with faefire, and his restless soul banished from the material plane.
