Danon

Childhood friend of Mess, was eventually betrayed when he left the orphanage but Mess refused to follow. He was taken in by some corrupt highway men, he studied their merciless ways learning the blade but still often thought of his friend that refused him. He started learning magic from a hedge wizard, barely anything practical.
However after 2 years, while on the run, he convinced the troupe to fall upon Fewmon. A patrol had been dispatched from Rubi'Sarha in pursuit. Using what tricks he knew Danon was able to convince the patrol that he was an orphan in the Stalux Cathedral and that Mess was the criminal.
Having been freed from both the highwaymen and the guard patrol, Danon sought increased learning from the wizards college in Rubi'Sarha.
Having now caught up with the party, Danon has revealed that he is working to restore the Lord of Light by breaking the seals that bind him. He doesn't reveal much on their first encounter but ensures the party that they will likely meet again.
In the dead of night in Mess' room at the Cat on the Tin Roof a single candle is lit and awakens him.  Mess bleary eyed only just makes out Danon's features.  They have a quiet talk in the light of the flame.  Danon is seeking atonement for the mistakes of his past.  He explains what happened after he left Stalux Cathedral, including getting revenge on those that killed his family.  States his apology that their childhood home was burnt down because of his mistakes.
All the mistakes of his youth could never be brought to judgment however because The God of Judgement had been sealed away and the people of this world have rotten away without his vengeance.   When he left Mess in Brak'Nol Prison he hadn't yet learned about this but he saw the gifts his friend possessed and learned more about them himself along with an expatriated member of the Wizards College, Fairfanx. 
Through learning from him he also stumbled unto the plot to release Rageal that his justice may once again scorch the wicked, himself included.  He asks Mess to join him in his cause that Fairfanx could take him under his wing as he had done for Danon.  Mess cannot bring himself to accept right now.  Danon assures him that he will be continuing in the work to breaks the seals, should he reconsider not to stop him.
