Kingdom of Galmere

The Kingdom directly North of Godsfall, controlling all the islands and many port cities within the Galmere Sea. Several decades before the 1st Galmere War an adventurous young man, Theran Meinophous, had a dream to unite the islands of the sea. Over the course of two decades he gathered together the main houses of this scattered Kingdom. United over their love of the sea, adventure and spoils of war their conquest brought all the inhabitants of the sea under one banner save one island of warrior women that fought so fervently that they kept their laws, orders, and relative freedom.
After the smoke on the sea settled a mighty Kingdom rose up and the young Meinophous was now old and ruled out his days in great luxury. His two sons eventually replaced him choosing to rule together as they did not feel they could live up to their father's legacy. The elder bore no sons while the younger bore two, they were next in line for the throne, the elder, Desmond, slew his uncle and father claiming the throne. Before he could kill off his brother, Persian, he fled to the one place within the kingdom his brother could not reach, Themiscyra. He knew a man would not be allowed to live on these shores but he was willing to take the risk.
There is a trial by which a man may show his merit and worth in procreation, those that fail die. Persian was able to successfully pass this trial and was awarded place among these warriors. Eventually he convinced one of the council to hear his pleas and gathered a force of Amazon warriors that he may reclaim his throne. During which time his brother had been waging the 1st Galmere War. Persian and his amazon warriors subverted forces against his brother and even opened communications with the Empire of Godsfall that they may be able to stop his brother and bring an end to this conflict. It took many years for his brother had grown paranoid casting all from his side. With his eventual downfall, their was dissension among the houses that stayed loyal to his brother and those that recognized Persian as the rightful heir.
The kingdom ended it's war with Godsfall and focused on the war at home. Persian wed and ruled along side one of the Amazonian warriors that helped him rest control of the kingdom. It is rare for an Amazon to love in this way but in this case it seemed evidently that these warriors were not devoid of emotion as once thought. With this Amazon as queen she was able to rally Themiscyra under the Kingdom's banner. He ruled out his days, but because an Amazon can only give birth to girls, there was no heir to the throne. Many of the people including the Amazons thought the new heir could be a queen however it was not so and the kingdom was once again divided. Eventually from the following conflict another man was chosen, a general or he called himself a general but he was nothing more than a pirate, and claimed the throne.
The kingdom has been a marauding one ever since, only in times of late have the political landscape changed to such that would allow open communication and trade. The Kingdom of Galmere and the Empire of Godsfall now exist on relatively good terms.
