Skill Checks

The following rules pertain to skill checks that are made during the sessions.
Skill checks
1. Whenever a player is asked to make a skill check only 1 other player may help this player. This needs to be stated before the roll is made and depends on several things, DM's discretion.
2. If multiple people want to make the same roll it will become a group check, meaning everyone rolls.
3. Not everyone will be able to help with a skill check. You can only help another player if you are proficient in the skill that is being used and if you are within 5 feet of that player character.
4. If you want to either make a skill check, or help someone, say what exactly it is that you want to do. Example: I want to (help player to) look for any hidden compartments in this desk by searching around for openings, listen for hollow sounds etc. The DM then decides what skill check is performed.
5. There are no critical successes or fails with a skill check. Meaning whether you roll a nat 20 or 1 you will still add your skill modifier to it and the result of that will be used.
