Circle of Harmony

The Circle of Harmony is one of the smaller druidic circles in Valleris, but it is no less respected. Other Circles focus on tangible elements in nature, like the land, animals, or even elements of the fae. The Circle of Harmony is unique in that it's hinged on a concept rather than a thing: keeping the balance between all living things, former living things, and the different aspects of such. The druids would disagree with the Circle's designation as a religious organization, but most cultures in Valleris would consider them (and other druids) a religious organization of some sort. To be fair, Druids of Harmony do follow the teachings and gifts of the Goddess of Creation and Life, Aara, which are said to be passed down from the very first druids to grace this earth -- the fruit of the goddess' tree.   Most of this Circle's membership are ethnic Sucari, but there are many across Valleris who believe in the need of balance in this world. The rise of necromancy in Valleris saw a smaller, but no less significant rise in druids learning and adopting the tenants of Harmony. These non-Sucari druids see the creation of the Freesoul as an interruption of the natural cycle of life and death.

Mythology & Lore

Druids of the Circle of Harmony follow the tale of Aara's Sacrifice as the creation myth of Valleris and, in particular, Sucar and the Sucari people. Through this myth, the unifying belief of the Circle of Harmony is that its druids are the keepers of balance between the natural cycles of the world around them, whether it's ensuring that natural resources remain at equilibrium, or encouraging the proper relationship between life and death. Although the generally accepted version of Aara's Sacrifice concludes at the creation of living beings and complex species such as humans, elves, and the like, Druids of Harmony have rooted their origins in this story. Where the flowers of Aara's last gift bloomed into living beings, the rare fruits that ripened and fell from the tree, bearing the highest concentration of ineshti, were the first druids. It was their purpose, given to them by Aara, to fulfill the harmony of nature and see to the continuation of infinite cycles.
